Posting a Divx or mp4 video was created by hichmoul
Hello,
I have my own server running apache 2.2.14 and php 5.3.1 and Joomla 1.5.15.
I've added a blank article which I posted to the front page with
{mp4}......{/mp4}
or
{divx}......{/divx}

I've ripped these files from a dvd with mencoder, as Mpeg4 or as Divx.
(I created Divx with 2pass encoding)

According to www.joomlaworks.net/content/view/35/41/
these are accepted formats.

with mp4, the quicktime plugin just shows ? after some 30seconds.
with dvix, the divx webplayer plugin say the format is unknown.

I am able however to play both files with Media Player Classic and mplayer.

Any ideas how to proceed?

I can only help you with the mp4 file issue.

I would check out this blog post. It will solve your problem by playing the mp4 file using the standard JWPlayer instead of the quicktime player.
