I can play flv files all day. when I try to play any wmv files the player just has a white screen.  The download vido button appears and works so I know I did not have any issue whith the file name and the format is correct.

has anyone else had this issue?

I just had this happen too, and with a video I have played on another site. My site uses https: i wonder if that is a conflict?

I will try with a FLV file too.

I also was able to play other files, flv and mov, but not wmv. I have the exact same site except for the https:  as a development site and the wmv plays fine on there.

I ended up getting someone to convert my WMV to an FLV file and that seems to be working on both the HTTPS and HTTP site. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
