I succeeded showing captions using Allvideos plugin, just modifying a little bit the sources.php file. But now I would like to show the captions separately from the video itself, like in this example, which shows High Constrast Captions:

I will try to explain better my problem.

Now in my web page I can show multiple videos with captions using Allvideos plugin:

Now I need to show the captions outside the video itself, like in this example (where they call that kind of captions “high contrast captions”):
wac.osu.edu/examples/jwplayercontrols/

In that example they say they use JW Player Controls,but I don’t know how to use this controls in my Joomla webpage, and I don’t know if there’s a way to use them togheter with Allvideos plugin.

Anyone can help?

Would you be able to give me the details on what you did to get captions to work with the allvideos player? I am using it for local mp4 and have been having a hard time getting captions to work. I would really appreciate it.

This is an outdated post, Clappr is now being used.
However you will need to alter the extension a bit and add a Clappr plugin github.com/JMVTechnology/Clappr-Subtitle

"his is a very early version. You can't select subtitle tracks, and long srt files may run slow." Seems like a very poor choice.

You can revert to JWPlayer for certain file extensions but you will need to hack the sources.php file a bit.
