If I type for instance {flv}videoname{flv} what shows up on my website is exactly this text message only.

I went to images/stories and made a videos folder. Put the file up there. Then I made an article in joomla, saved it and tried the link and nothing - other then the writing itself.

I use ice editor.

Did you enable the plugin?
Did you try to find out if AllVideos works with another video format?

I am having similar issues, AFTER INSTALL, When I post a youtube embed, it just displays the text code in frontpage or are there files that needs to be edited after installation besides setting parameters?

I'm having the same problem with a locally hosted mp4 file. The video (malingroad.mp4) has been uploaded to /images/stories/videos and has been referenced in an article as {mp4}malingroad{/mp4}. All that gets displayed is "{mp4}malingroad{/mp4}" rather than the expected embedded video. And yes, the plugin has been enabled.

Did anyone fix the problem?

I've installed AllVideos according to instructions
copied the tmpl folder to my template /html folder (called in this case /sols) and renamed it in jw_allvideos
created a new Videos folder in media manager
configured Joomla! global configuration so I can upload mp4 files
uploaded videos in mp4 format (encoding H.264)
created an article where I wrote:

{mp4}eyetoeye_3{/mp4}

reloaded the website and NOTHING appears, not even the text as it happens to this post's users... I just get a blank page...

I tried to embed a youtube video and it works... so this means that AllVideo works well.

Please help me out!

Thanks

Gianlu

This is happening to me as well.  I've been trying to figure this out the past couple hours.

Can you help me resolve this?

I put this youtube code in my article, publish and at first, saw just the txt code on the website.  Now I don't even see the code, just a blank article.

Yes AllVideos is enabled, and I also installed the Custom Code module.

Please help!!  I followed the documentation but seems like something is else is missing?  I just want to embed the video in the articles.  When I put the video codes in the Custom Code module, the youtube video works, but I want it in the article.

Site is:
74.54.136.114/~vietnu/

Video should be under "Opportunity" menu item.

I found that for .flv files, the system will not recognise filenames with an underscore in them, so they would not play.  I removed the underscore and all worked fine.  Not sure if this would apply for other filetypes but probably worth a try.
