Unable to Save items or categories after 2.5.4

I've seen others have experienced something similar, but I have been unable to resolve this issue with their solutions.
When I try and save an item or category I get a blank screen (cancel works as it should). If I hover over the save buttons, I see the proper target link, but on saving I am greeted with a blank screen and the URL contains /administrator/index.php only.
Everything was fine in 2.5.4, but 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 simply do not work for me.
I have a plugin, JQuery Easy, which tidies up calls to JQuery libraries and conflicts between them and MooTools. I use this for the front-end, but when used for the back-end, or whether switched on or off, this does not help with the K2 back-end issue.
Firebug fires up a 500 error and nothing else, while on the page the following HTML exists:
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<div id="k2AdminContainer" class="K2AdminViewItem isJ16orLater"> </div>
</body>
</html>
For now I am reverting back to 2.5.4, but as this has now occurred on 2 K2 updates, it's is something I would really like to resolve to allow me to apply these and future updates.
Just to confirm, I am using Joomla 2.5.4, and have numerous components installed, such as Community Builder, EasyBlog, and sh404SEF.
Thanks in advance for your help.

jQuery parameters? Are you talking about settings for it to load local or external script and what version?
If that's the case, then what version and local or remote would you recommend? I tried 3 last versions and both (local or remote) and neither seams to work...

Are you also getting blank screens? If so go to Joomla! configuration and set error reporting to ""Maxumum" to see the error.

All I get is blank screen. No messages. Nothing.
I go back one page (using browser back button), refresh and I see, that it did save the article... So, saving articles still does work (so far, at least)...
