K2 User Profile edit was created by Meinrad Jean-Richard

Hi,

How can I enable the User to change hins Userdetails over the Joomla Fronted? I can edit the Details in the backend and view the details in the frontend but there is no option to edit then. I can edit my email-adress on the profile page but not the Description.

Any Ideas?

Hi. Ensure that K2 system plugin is enabled. K2 will redirect the user to a profile edit page.

I enabled the K2 system plugin, but still users can only change their (user)name, password and email. I would like it if they could change their own description, avatar, URL etc.
How do I enable that?

Go to K2 parameters and make sure that K2 user profiles are enabled.

Hi, me got similar problem- users can't change user profile :( , K2 system plugin is enabled and K2 user profiles too, and I still can't change ... How should i do ?

What error are you getting? are you being redirected to the Joomla! profile page?

no, i wish to edit user profile optionals fields, ( for example, address 2), and i write it in field, and save. after save i'm redirected to general user profile, and it show me that it is not given (address 2), like it was no save..
maybe it's helpful- i'm using shape 5 vertex template and joomla 3.1

Make sure you have not altered any IDs or name attributed needed in your template. If it works using the ?template=system suffix (using the system template) then it is a template issue.

That is unfortunate, the browsers developer tools would have helped a lot. Have you tried with the ?tempate=system method or with changing templates?

Finally remember to keep both K2, Joomla! and your overrides up to date. It can be a issue from your template which I can't figure out from screenshots.

there is no changes in template. methode with suffix doesn't work:( i put in two screenshots and maybe it's helpful- html for this page, is it better?

What versions of Joomla!/K2 are you using? Have you checked again that all the K2 plugins are enabled ( system, user etc.)?

yes, all of plugins are enabled, i'm using joomla v 3.1 and k2 v 5.4.10

hmm, i find some in php's,
$event = strtolower($event); ---> patch: event/dispatcher.php

and I don't know what to do because it don't work in any ways

but, i'm thinking about other solution: is there possibility to add some fields in Account Details (placed on top)?
or under textarea (better solution)
or if anyone have an idea for put in these informations from User Profile (in K2 optionally)

Hello natasha,

You can use this extension www.joomlaworks.net/extensions/free/user-extended-fields-for-k2 or look for a similar one at the JED or getk2.org/extend .

You can override profile.php and register.php (it is located in your K2's template folder ) in order to show the fields where you want.

i have actually this problem:
the user (superadmin with whole permission as user owner) can edit his profile accessing in frontend accessing via the link in mod_k2user but i'm redirected to joomla user profile so i can only change username password and email.
how to solve?
joomla2.5.18
k2 2.6.8
