I would like to use the slide images from Front Page Slide Show as the item images for K2. Basically, what I want to set up is use FPSS to announce news on the front page of the site, and use a K2 category to house the news items. Kill two birds with one stone by using the same image as the slide.

I have a 45kb JPG file that I added to my K2 item, and I noticed that SOMEHOW, the size of my image went up to 107kb! How can this happen? Also, I see that I can set the width of the image in the parameter, but what about the height? The height of the image changed when I uploaded it. If I want to use the SAME image that FPSS uses, it shouldn't be resizing.. What to do?
