I designed a site and now the user wants to make use of the K2 element for her blog...but while I've activated the comment section, it's not showing up on the blog posts.

 

I even just installed Disqus for K2 and that isn't showing up either.  :S

 

Help please!

Have you enabled the comment block through the category parameter?

In disqus, are you sure you have set the parameters correctly?

Okay partially good news...

 

I didn't have the category parameter set correctly.  Thank you for helping direct my attention to that.

 

But for Disqus, to my knowledge all I needed to do was enter the subdomain name right?

Yes, correct. Your disqus domain is correctly entered, the plugin is enabled and you still don't see anything?

I don't see Disqus there... I do see the standard commenting system though.

You only need the plugin. Are you sure you have downloaded the correct file?

I thought that's what I had from the Joomlaworks page.

I'm going to uninstall that and reinstall what you just linked and see if that helps.

 

UPDATE: That didn't work.  It was the same file and it's still not replacing the existing commenting system.

 

I installed the file, added the subdomain info from Disqus, and selected "publish" before saving the revisions to the plugin.

 

Any ideas why it's not replacing the comments?

yeah..it took me a while..but after i manually inserted the disqus codes already to the k2 files, i realized that it was still not working. 

so i figured it must have been the template..which was correct coz after i changed my joomla template, the disqus plugin worked! yey!!:) 

 

i guess you can try changing your templates to see if its k2 disqus compatible or not.:)
