forgive me, I'm sure this question has been asked many times before, but I can't seem to construct a search to find it... I need a type of Category Blog sort that will work for a restaurant. None of the K2 options appear to satisfy this particular need. Here's what the Category Blog page would need to look like:

Appetizers
Item Title
Item Content

Item Title
Item Content

Salads
Item Title
Item Content

Item Title
Item Content

K2 will not group the items under their categories, like the above example... unless I'm missing something.

how many item of each category with be displays per page?

for one category, all items, with pagination:

within menu manager, create a new menu item, with the "menu item type" set to "Categories" within the k2 section of the choices, then on the right side under "basic options" only select the one category you want displayed, then on the new page, all articles from only that category will be displayed

or you want multiple separate categories, with a set number of items? (do to pagination not work with the module as far as i can tell)
