[Solved] Using absolute urls for k2 item image was created by Kannan Naidu Venugopal
Hi,
Has anyone managed to use absolute urls for all k2 item image instead of the relative url ?
Currently, its /media/images/............
I need it to be http://websitedomain/media/images/......
The way i see it at the moment is to "hack" the modals/item.php file in the component.

I asked too soon... LOL
Managed to solve it by using the code used to generate open graph image link for facebook.
This is what i did, hope it works in LIVE site too ;)

The alt and title tags are there so you do not need to change the URL.
If Google is not indexing them it's because Joomla!'s default robots.txt is blocking the /media folder.
Open your robots.txt and remove that line.

Unfortunately no. The image URLs cannot be changed.
