overrides work on category listing not on items !! was created by Abdulrahman Ghadafi
Hello all,
I've been using K2 for quite a while and I had no problems with overrides; until the project I'm working on right now.
I have everything done as I usually do, but the strange thing is that the overrides work only on pages that list categories contents, but if you click on any title it takes you to the page and somehow forgets about the k2 template overrides linked to it.
To clarify the matter a little bit:
- image 01 shows a category list page with the proper style sheet loaded.
- image 02 is one of the items listed in the previous snap; but the style sheet is gone !
I tried the template on a fresh installation but it doesn't work either. Also, I tried one of the previous templates I did but it didn't as well.
I hope someone has something useful for me here, cause my mind went blank on it.
Thank you guys for ur time.

I can't see what stylesheet is missing from the second image. Can you provide a link to your page to check it out?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The project_style.css file should be put inside templates/your_template/css/folder in order to load properly. The path you have for it already templates/sahem/html/com_k2/templates/project/project_style.css is not valid.

Hi again,
Maybe I didn't explain this quite well.
I'm working on a K2-template to override the default one, so it is quite natural for the path to be:
sahem/html/com_k2/templates/project/project_style.css
I created a K2-template and named it "project", udes the css4k2 plugin, and created and copied all the necessary files to the directory html/com_k2. Then, I linked this new template to a K2-category on my site named "projects".
Now; the problem shows. When I create a menu item to list all items in the category "projects" it loads the css: project_style properly. but, if u click on any title to view an item - which should be styled by the same css project_style.css - it disappears.
I hope this did explained the problem clearly.
and thank u Yiota and all u guys 4 ur time.

Which version of Joomla do you use?
Have you put the correct settings in the plugin?

I'm using 2.5.18, and everything is just as I'm used to do it, only this time it is not !

I'm not quite familiar with this plugin so maybe you could sent an email and ask for support from the developers.
