Try to download the file again from getk2.org/assets/get and install it.

There are several users in this thread reporting that it does solve the issue. So please try to install again. Unless you are having a different issue.

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')}' at line 1 SQL=SELECT `catid` FROM fdaux_k2_additional_categories WHERE `itemID` = {intval()}
EDIT: Nevermind, it was the additional categories plugin. disabled and it works...

This is cause by a 3rd party plugin.
The "fdaux_k2_additional_categories" table belongs to the additional categories for K2 extension.
