NOindex- k2 category & k2 item pages was created by Justin Place
Hi there,
I have a directory with about 400 k2 items + their respective k2 categories
There are specific k2 item pages i want to be indexed
and the rest of the k2 items i dont want to be indexed
so for example here are some of my categories:
1. Accommodation
2. Education
3. Suppliers
How do set k2 items from NOT being indexed?
Is there a easier way or do i manually have to edit each k2 item in the backend?

Hi. You can't do this based on items. You can only do this based on URLs using a custom robots.txt file and define your own rules there about what will be indexed and what will not.

okay,
i did some reading and, see robots.txt only determines whether Google bots will CRAWL pages/urls for content, it does not guarantee that Google will stop from indexing them.
I have found a solution to stop k2 Items from being INDEXED on Google
In the Backend of your K2 Item -> Meta Data Information -> Robots -> noindex, nofollow
Setting that will set the meta data noindex and nofollow at the <Head> of the k2 Item page that tells robots not to index the Item page url.
