Hello - I've dug through all the posts on this forum and nothing seems to work. My site is

I have the K2 Slider installed on the home page using the Sportson Slider. I uploaded and re-uploaded my images a dozen different ways. Exported them out of PSD and AI at 150dpi, no compression with a width of 960 x 250....and nothing. I've tried .jpgs vs. .pngs all in RGB, yada, yada, yada....
Images are uploaded through Components / K2 / Items and then assigned through Extensions / Module Manager / SP Smart Slider.
I've added this additional code to my category.php file per suggestions in other posts regarding this same issue and they still look like crap.
$handle->jpeg_quality = $params->get('imagesQuality');
I'm desperate here. I'm about to lose this contract because I can't seem to resolve this (what seems to be simple ) issue.
