Is it possible to use the e-Max {loadnavigation} code within K2?
If so, is there something I need to do, because right now it is just shoing up as plain code from transfered items from older Joomla iteration.

I think you should probably use Joomla!'s menu instead.
I am not aware of this module but I think if it is a content plugin it should render in K2 as well.

Thanks. I was just looking for a story navigation option to give a NEXT/PREVIOUS option.
So far in the K2 articles this plugin just shows the code {loadnavigation}.
