I have a situation where I would like to potentially use a different Joomla template when viewing K2 items than when displaying the category. Specifically, I looking for a way for a Joomla template module position not show in the category view but I need that module position to display in K2 items for that category. Through Menu Manager I am able to assign a Joomla template that applies to a K2 category and all it's items, but I need it to be different, or have an alternate way for a module position to display differently for a category vs. an item. And please note, I am not referring to K2 templates, but rather Joomla's templates.

You can either do this in your index.php, or you can use an extension called Modules Anywhere.
