limit access to backend was created by Montse
Good afternoon,
I'm obliged to give access to the Back to a small group of users (15), which should be able to create and edit articles in a specific category.
I have it all set up as I care, don't see modules, don't see additional components, plugins or menus, just give them access to the component k2 which is what we use to manage the items.
The problem is that I would like to also restrict their access to the categories, because as I explained earlier, only must publish in a category, but do not want to (even accidentally), can touch any of the other categories of the web .
Is there any way I can not see the categories of k2 from the back?
Thanks in advance for the information and sorry for my english.

At this moment, access to categories cannot only be restricted in frontend editing.
You can either use frontend editing, or you can wait until the version 3 is released.

Thank you very much for the information.
I really wanted to give backend access to a group of users, so they can see unpublished items.
Do you know if there is any way that a group of users can view k2 Unpublished items from the frontend?

By default every user can see his unpublished items in his own user (blog) page.

It would be best to wait for either to wait for the next version or give access to an editor to the admin area.
