I just moved my website from its subfolder to public_html
and now the Media Manager dialog box doesn't show anymore
even the option to upload images thru links doesn't work.

Will reinstalling K2 solve this problem?

Did you remember to update the paths to the /log and /tmp folders as well?

yes I did, however I may not have moved the subfolder properly
I just dragged and dropped them in cpanel

You need to edit your configuration.php file as well.
It can be a file/folder permission issue as well. You can use an extension called Admin Tools to correct your permissions.

I installed admin tools.
Both the media manager and browse image option works
Haven't encountered any other problems so far
