I have just upgraded from j 3.3.1 to 3.3.6. Everything else on site is fine but in the backend when I try to access K2 I get the following error:
Error loading component: com_k, Component not found
I have tried database fix.
I have tried discover in the extensions but I see nothing related to K2.
Please can you advise how to fix this as K2 no longer works at all in the back end.

Thanks

Can you try reinstalling K2?

I have re installed with version 2.6.8 (I had 2.6.7). The same error remains. Luckely this is my test site. I cant upgrade my main site to j 3.3.6 until I know K2 works in the back end. It works fine in the front end but can not access it at all in the backend.
Hope you can help more.
Thanks

Something corrupted the menu table during Joomla!'s update.

You need to go to the #__menu table and replace all the instances of com_k with com_k2

The error now shows as 404 Component not found. Everything K2 related works fine on the front end.
I am very confused. Do you mean going into the php tables. If so I can see the _menu table. This seems to only refer to the front end menu. All the relevant links there refer to com_k2. I have also checked the table _components that also refers to com_k2 in the relevant fields.
Is there somewhere else I should be looking?
Hope you can resolve this.

The 'main' menu is the adminstrator menu.
Make sure that there are no instances of com_k (should be com_k2) in that menu.

Found it in the end, by going through all the plug ins, switching them all off apart from the site cruicial ones. This then gave me access to K2 in the back end again. Then went through one by one switch the plug ins back on. Found the one that was causing it. It was for another component I had recently installed called Joobi Market Place and the plug in was called "Joobi – Users Edit". I dont think that plug in is needed but will take this up with that Joobi.
Thanks for your help.
