Why Does K2 Duplicate Posts Across All Categories was created by Jason
Whenever I create a post in K2 it duplicates it across all categories.
So say I have 3 categories: /category1/, /category2/, /category3/
If I create a post and file it under /category1/ the URL will be: site.com/category1/unique-article-name/
However if I go into the URL and change it to 'site.com/category2/unique-article-name/' it will display this same post even though it is only relevant to /category1/ which is why I filed it specifically in that category in the first place.
Going to 'site.com/category2/unique-article-name/' should deliver a 404 error as this should not be a viable URL.
The way it stands, that same post of content will show up under every single active category that I have on my site.
How do I fix this and make the post just show up in its chosen category and not duplicate?
Thanks.

Hello Jason,
Just as with the default articles you need to map your content (K2 categories in this case) into menu items to avoid having duplicate URLs.

In Joomla! it is generally possible to have 'hackable' urls. Since you have mapped your categories into menu items you will not have an issue about duplicate content.
If you want to be 100% bulletproof you can look for a K2 extension that provides canonical links. Remember that this extension will have to support K2.
