After installing sh404SEF to my site the image link in the extra fields is not working. That is because your component sh404sef is rewriting the link to K2 Media Manager from frontend which is resulting in '404 not found' error.

From what we can see the correct link without rewriting should be:
/destinations/central-south-america/media?type=image&tmpl=component&fieldID=K2ExtraField_9
however it is being stripped to just:
?fieldID=K2ExtraField_9&tmpl=component&type=image



is there a fix for this?

I asume you are using K2 2.6.8 right?

To my knowledge sh404sef has some exception on URLs.
Is it possible to add these urls with a similar pattern (?type=image&tmpl=component&fieldID...) or do you have to exclude entire components?

i cant find that feature anywhere, should you have a login to the site

sh404SEF specialist jimie says:

There`s no option to exclude from sh404sef just a non-sef url, you can only exclude a whole component in sh404sef configuration at "By component" tab

your solution results in a blank page.

Solution was found,

disabled the JHC optimize plugin, and all the links worked again.
