Hi everybody!
I want to develop a filter k2 items for Joomla 2.5 as a module. The view (in MVC) of my module have a form which has 2 inputs and a submit button. Inputs are used to set the range of integer values for the filtering.
What is the best way to add the code that implements the filtering? I think that the adding a method directly to the model K2 is a "bad" idea.

It is better to add the code as a K2 Plugin.
Hacking K2's core means that your module will stop functioning when someone reinstalls or updates K2.
