Do not set an word limit for the introtext in your category's settings.

You need to address this question to the module's developer.

Hi there,
I have the same issue: Links missing from introtext display of category items. Looking at page source, links are indeed stripped that are in the K2 Items.
I thought that setting the Content Cleanup in the K2 parameters as follows was the solution, but no such luck.
Content Cleanup
Introtext HTML cleanup (tag strip) No
Enter wich HTML tags not to strip in intro text Blank
Enter which HTML tag attributes to strip in introtext Blank
I see in Krikor's reply about this same issue from a number of months ago that the advice is to remove the introtext word limit.
However, without limiting the introtext, the entire Item is displayed, defeating the purpose of using Introtext for the Category Item display.
I am not using any special modules. I just want to display only the introtext, including the links that are in the first 100 words.
If stripping the links is the default behavior for Introtext, is there a way to override? I hate to think that I have to buy an extension, but if that's what has to be, please let me know. Using Joomla 3.4 with K2 2.6.9.
Thank you very much!

You need to manually specify an introtext by using the read more button or by using separate editors for intro/ fulltext. The latter option is located in K2's params.
Then you need to remove the introtext's text limit.

Hi Krikor,
Thanks for the reply.
While I am already using the Read More button, using separate editors for intro/fulltext is new to me. I'll give this a try.

Hi Krikor and everyone,
The separate editors for Introtext and Full text give exactly the right amount of control to be able to have links in the introtext. Thanks.
Some people may wonder why you might want to have links in the introtext when you already have the Read More feature to display the full text. Sometimes a news headline or a publication title is enough information that a user does not need to read the full text and will want to go straight to another site. If you want a simple list that provides this ability using your template's style, defining a K2 Category is elegant and fast.

You re welcome.
Yes using two editors means you can keep your HTML markup intact.
Apart from links the same applies to bolds, italics, lists etc...
