Youtube videos on feed was created by Stuart Brown
Hello,

I have a joomla website in which I use k2 for managing the articles and the categories. In some articles I have embedded a youtube video. My problem is that the video does not appear in the feed of the category. Is there any way I can make the video appear too? Thank you!

Hello,

Is the video emdedded using AllVideos, or is it pasted in the editor's body?

Make sure that the "Item Fulltext" setting is enable in the RSS section of K2's params. Chances are that the markup of the video will be stripped. You should also try AllVideos.

I tested it with Joomla! 3.4 and K2 2.6.9 and AllVideos and ti works fine.
You need to enter your video through the media tab.
Then you need to check the RSS's parameters which are located under K2's parameters.

I have Joomla 2.5.28 and k2 2.6.8 and even with AllVideos (although AllVideos doesn't show the videos in the articles) I can't get it to work. FullText and Introtext are both enabled in rss parameters and the cleanup is set to NO. It is very frustrating...

Use AllVideos to display the video and under the feed's params, set the item video to show.

Thank you! I have the same settings. I think it's the server's settings who might cause this problem...I will contact them...

Here is a feed from my website eobserver.co.uk/ellada?format=feed . It has an article with a video in it (although I don't think it is inserted with AllVideos)

From what I can see videos are present in your feeds
eobserver.co.uk/ellada?start=45&format=feed
(check the iframes).

I did not find an item with a K2 video to crosscheck.

The link you send me shows nothing (my feed shows only 10 items). The server has nothing to do with the issue. All the items are k2 and the iframes are inserted via the editor. I don't know what else to check...

What I sent you is an example that videos DO appear on your feed.
Once the feed is parsed and displayed somewhere else the videos WILL appear.

If you insert your videos through the Media tab your feed will also have the <video> element in the feed.

So videos DO appear on your feed.
