Linked articles after migrating from Joomla to K2? was created by Alexander Ioannidis
Seriously thinking about migrating my joomla website with over 2.000 articles to K2.
Problem is, the majority of these articles are linked to each other and it is impossible to fix these links manually, if they break up.
Any pointers on the subject?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi,
Probably you need a custom script to import those articles and also change the links inside the text. An other way could be to create a plugin for redirection but this will require that you will have the relation between the article id and the item id.

Thank you for your reply Lefteris!
A custom migration script sounds like a better solution than a custom plugin. Where might one look for such a migration script?

You can look at the JED or here: getk2.org/extend/extensions

Thanks! I was already aware of JED. Will look through getk2.org to see if I can find what I need.

These extensions are popular within the community
CMS2CMS
K2 Import,
I have never used one of them so I cannot personally recommend any of them.

CMS2CMS claims to do migration of internal links, but is a little costly ($130).
Thanks again, I will look into this. Seems like my only real option for moving to K2.

You can also try a db script or hiring a dev from freelancer.com to do this.

That's a good idea but I don't think a DB specialist would charge less money for such a custom job.

You can try posting the job and see the offers you receive. Peopleperhour is also great for posting jobs.
