Item not saved from frontend was created by Frank
Hello!
I'm using K2 2.6.9 and Joomla. 3.3.6 . For K2 frontend editing I setup a K2 usergroup which has the rights for adding and editing from the frontend. I also enabled frondend editing in the K2 parameter settings.
I do have a K2 item form menu and the user is associated to the K2 group which has the permission. In the item form it is stated :
K2_YOU_ARE_ALLOWED_TO Add items, Edit own items, Publish items, Allow editing of already published items
If the user presses "Save" I just get a redirect to the page where the user pushed the K2 item form menu item before but there is no saved K2 item at all. No error messages etc. I also turned on the Joomla debugging but also there no error messages at all.
Any ideas why the frontend editing/saving is not working are highly appreciated.
Cheers
Frank

Hello Frank,
Are there are any JS errors in the itemform?
Any other K2 related extensions?

Hello!
No errors coming up and so far no special K2 plugins installed. We're using the Rockettheme Anacron Template could this be having strange side effects?
Cheers

It is a possibility.
Is it possible to try it with another template?

Hi!
Sorry for the delay. I now changed back to the default Joomla 3.4 (was the same with 3.3) Protostar template and still the same.
After clicking the K2 Item Form Menu Item I do see the Itemform and in the header its stated
K2_YOU_ARE_ALLOWED_TO Add items, Edit own items, Publish items, Allow editing of already published items
I can fill out all fields press save the Itemform gets closed but the Item is not in the database. I do not get any frontend error message but I can see
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'removeEvents' of null (k2.js:464) in the Javascript console.
Any ideas how to get the front end feature running?
Cheers

Are you using K2's latest version? Also is there a link I can see?
Finally the line 464 refers to actions related to the modal.
Is it possible that you are using another lightbox engine?

Hi!
We're using K2 2.6.9. No other lightbox engine gets used. How can I send you a personal message for giving you some credentials. Site is currently behind black curtain.
Thanks
Frank

Hello,
This is indeed a template issue.
You need to address this issue to RocketTheme's developers.

Hi, I'm running into this exact issue as well. I changed the template to protostar and the same thing happened which means it's not template specific and is an issue with K2. Have you guys gained any insight?

I have this problem too.
It happens when loading the add/edit item form from a menu item. The form does not load in a modal but rather in a new window. However com_k2 does not seem to provide a way to load the form via a modal from a menu item.
It happens irrespective of the template used.
Any ideas?
