URL parameters missing on save

I have a problem where the URL parameters are missing after pressing Save when editing an item in K2. It was working fine before an update to Joomla 3.4 failed and I had to revert to 3.3.6. Since that time saving an item saves, but returns with a blank screen because the item's parameters are missing from the URL bar for example www.xyz.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&cid=521 for example returns www.xyz.com/index.php
I have also discovered it no longer saves images. Editing articles and using media manager in Joomla works normally.
Enabling error reporting at Developed level shows no php errors. I reinstalled K2 over the existing version and no change.
A few days ago I read a post that I can't find now that said the poster repaired this problem by editing out a ";" in a language file and that solved my problem for a day, then the problem returned.
Help, trying to go live on the site and can't until I can edit some items.

Which other extensions are you using?
This is probably caused by a 3rd party extension.

There are no back end error displayed with error level set to development level. but checking the front end, there are error of undefined variables when ArkEditor was enabled. They stopped when going back the the original editor.
Without a good understanding of how K2 works, and where the parameters passed to the url when saving so I am at a loss as to how to get back to where I was a week ago when everything worked.

Also you can try disabling extensions one by one to find the culprit.

I hope an answer comes up or else I'll have to start over without K2 which I would prefer not to do.
Time to start disabling extensions, ones that all worked together nicely before the aborted upgrade....

I have talked 2 people who had the same problem with 3.4 and had to recover the full system to earlier versions.
You are talking about J 3.4?
Finally the K2 issue is most likely caused by a 3rd party extension.
Try disabling extensions one by one to find which one is causing the conflict.

Whatever the problem is caused by it must has been caused by the failed update of 3.3.6 >3.4 because it had been working without any problem for months up till reverting back to 3.3.6.

No need to enter the content manually :)
There are plenty available in the JED and getk2.org/extend/extensions
A lot of users use this www.individual-it.net/en/Instructions-for-K2-Import-Component.html

K2 Import Component looks interesting. I did get SF Transfer but it is not really a migration tool. I was looking for one that could do articles, items, menus and categories but did not see one. I hired an experienced Joomla developer to fix this problem who said he could do it within a couple days. If he can, I will try to migrate a working site to the production domain on the same server. I have about 280 "pages" and a complex template that took me a long time to customize. It is a mix of articles and items which complicates things.
