Here are a few suggestions that I think would improve the K2 Forum (it's good as it is, but I think the following would make it better):

Forum Category RSS: allow members & non-members to easily see new content that interest them

Member Topics RSS: allows members & non-members to see recent activity of particular members

Member Topics List Page: allows forum non-members to see the topics by each member (snag.gy/icUVU.jpg)

Profile Photos: enable all users the ability to upload a profile photo

I'm appending:

- User can Default-Setting set to "Show alle Posts since last Visit".
- Recent Topics: ser can see all k2-related-Forums, not-k2-related-Forums can be hidden
- Show newest 10 Posts, if Thread has more than 1 Page

since JoomlaWorks' switch to Varnish at 27.3.2015 got an "Your session has expired. Please log in again." after try to login. Had to Login ones more, that works.

Good observation Franz, I have been experiencing the same thing, but never thought to associate it to Varnish.
