installation difficulties

installation difficulties was created by keith younger
I am trying to install K2 via the extension manager under joomla 3. When I look for the package it does not find an installion. Looking at the zip file it is all php. what am I doing wrong

You install it like any other Joomla! component. You upload it from the extension manager.
