Hello guys and thank you for taking the time to check out my topic!

I am pretty new to joomla, extremely new to K2. Have only made a couple of beginner/simple websites.
Now it got me pumped and I would like to jump to a news article website.


Here is the current situation.
Since it is still at hobby level I would like to keep the costs at minimum, therefore I've chosen the Purity III Joomla template and installed it with the Magazine layout.
Installed the T3 Framework, K2, Phoca Galleries.

Here is where I got stuck... what other resources will I need to run a news website? As far as I've researched I'm going to need a grabber of some sort to get my articles on the front page.

Any input, links to useful tutorials, petty advice is well appreciated.

The K2 Content module will cover your needs since it can be overriden and turned into pretty much anything.
