Image & Text side-by-side in K2 Item? was created by Roger Edrinn
So how does one create a K2 Item with text and image side-by-side in the now world order of mobile friendly?
In the old world order, a table worked nicely, but tables are a no-no for mobiles, too wide.
Searched here and Google, nothing jumped out.
Thanks

Hi Roger,
Most modern Joomla! templates utilize Bootstrap, which makes it easy to produce layouts with 2 or more columns (side-by-side).
If your template does not offer Bootstrap, you can use a Responsive Grid Generator.
Here's one that you might find useful, as the columns collapse/stack into one column on mobile devices:
www.responsivegridsystem.com/calculator/
Also, here are a few template providers that offer K2 specific templates:
JoomlaWorks - bit.ly/1dGdlJ3
Gavick - bit.ly/1GPzYC5
Minitek - bit.ly/1Esdqpj
I hope this helps,

Hi Joe,
Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful reply. I sure hope you're wrong.
What was a simple K2 Item with intro text, a Read More, then some tables with images and text; would evolve into five or more Joomla Articles each positioned such that read "correctly" on a monitor, then scroll for mobile. I have literally over a hundred similar items. Ouch!!!
Seems as if K2 has gotten behind the "eight-ball" on mobile friendly and become irrelevant with its fixed column metaphor. Hope I'm wrong.
Now I need to get back to shoveling last nights 7" of snow.
Roger

This has to do with the template you are using.
You can also edit K2's default template to shape it the way you want it to.
Eg: check out this layout demo.nuevvo.com/sites/j3x/newsworth/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=85&Itemid=117
Finally always remember to override instead of editing core files.
