Hello,
Unfortunately no, but you can follow the framework you 'll be using instructions.
To locate and override the item.php file please read this file: getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates

Hi Krikor,
I was under the impression from other posts on-line that it was possible to use K2 categories to set up the responsive columns within the items..
The posts talked about the problems but not how to set the columns up in the categories in the first place.
Do you understand what I am trying to get at?
Regards,
Mike

Mike is it possible you're talking about columns within Categories? That's K2's specialty, but you asked specifically about columns within an Item.
K2 can arrange Items in as many columns as you want.

Hello Roger,
I want the columns within the items but I read somewhere that this functionality was set up in the category that the K2 item was a part of?
Regards,
Mike

The columns are only for the category view.
You can create an override for your item layout using a framework like BootStrap quite easily.
