Date format was created by Christian
Hi there,
I did what is explained here: jbeginner.com/tutorials/extensions/how-to-format-the-k2-date-time/ but the date in K2 articles (and ONLY there) are still shown as e.g. "Aug 03, 2011". I need to achieve "3. Aug. 2011".
Languages overrides for the K2 date tags are also set.
Any solution?
Many thanks
Christian

Hello Christian,
The tutorial is really nice.
Make sure that your template does not have any hardcoded values. In order to find out which files you need to check you need to read this post: www.joomlaworks.net/blog/item/194-k2-inheritance-sub-templating

Hi Krikor,
it is definitely a K2 problem and not a template problem, as the date works in other components/modules when I change the respective files.
Please send me your eMail address and I will give you login credentials for backend etc.
Many thanks

P.S. In a Joomla core template K2 gives the dates out as e.g. "%03. %Aug %2011 %00:%Aug"

Hi Krikor,
just to clarify two screenshots attached.
Wrong -> K2 article view with wrong date format (i.imgur.com/78DIBmk.png)
Right -> News Show Pro GK view with correct date format (i.imgur.com/l0paPD1.png)
Thanks

Did you check your overrides for any hardcoded values and/or custom language strings?

Sure, if you give me your email as I am not giving away admin login data on a public forum.
Thanks a lot
