video cannot be played was created by BStone
I am using JoomlaWorks 'AllVideos' Plugin v4.7.0 for Joomla in Joomla 3.36 and get the "Error Loading Media! File could not be played." This happens in Firefox, IE, and Chrome on my phone and tablet. I have the link entered correctly on my page - mp4}images/videos/basic_training_video{/mp4} - and the video is residing in that folder. I don't know what else to try.
Suggestions, please!

Hi,
Probably your configuration is incorrect. As stated in the documentation the path should be relative to the root path you set in the plugin settings. Is there a link to the page with the issue?

The path is images/videos - where the video is located.
The page is www.mailboxclubtraining.org/index.php/basic-training-video
Thanks!

If you have already set the path to "images/videos" in the plugin settings then you have to use just the name in the tag:
{mp4}basic_training_video{/mp4}

Well - that made sense! I changed my link but still get the same error message. I checked the page source and the link looks correct. Is there a size limit on this player? I have a very large file (269MB).
Thanks!

The message you are getting means that you are trying to load a file in a nonsupported format. MP4 video files should be encoded using the H.264 codec. A full list of the supported video formats can be found at support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1403635-media-format-reference .

I have the same problem. H.264 codec is present (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec) even inside video file. For sake of troubleshoot, I loaded JW player module from Joomlarulez and same video plays fine.
But I want to make Allvideo work. FLV plays fine.

@fe
Which version of AllVideos are you using? The plugin has an option to load the player directly from the jWPlayer CDN. This will ensure that you will always using the latest version of the player.

JoomlaWorks 'AllVideos' Plugin v4.7.0 for Joomla!
I selected "CDN" without any settings, switched off compressing and it healed itself, then I switched on compression and it works. I cannot replicate issue anymore. Browsers weren't reloded.
Thanks, Lefteris
