Can I remove or exclude K2 Images in /src ? was created by MB

				Hi Guys,
I have a lot of research about K2 images and as I know..
Image in K2 are stored in two folders:
/media/k2/items/cache (all generated sizes)
/media/k2/items/src (original image)
The 'cache' folder is very important when move a website but I'm not sure about 'src' folder.
Can I remove/exclude the 'src' folder when I backup website?
I want to make a backup file smallest as possible and also still working after installation.
Could you give me some advice? Thanks JoomlaWorks

You can empty the contents of the src folder. DO NOT remove the index.html file in the folder however.

				Krikor,
Sorry for bringing an old thread back alive! I want to exclude the src image folder in my Akeeba backups but you mentioned that the index.html should not be deleted and that impacts the backup folder structure too. What is the significance of the index.html file? Can I safely ignore it in backups?

				Hello Amin,
The index.html file is needed by Joomla! so that the folder is recognised and not empty.
This is a functional requirement. For your backups you can safely omit this folder. If you need to reinstate a backup you can use the existing /src folder or create a new one.
