Or, is there any extension available to achieve the same?
Thanks

Example:
I have these categories: Cat1 and Cat2
Cat1 has ExF1 as Extra Field Group applied to it.
So, Cat1 >> ExF1 and Cat2 >> ExF2
It would be very useful if I could create Item1 and apply it to both categories: Cat1 and Cat2, and therefore, Item1 would have ExF1 and ExF2 to fill in.
Thank you!

Are you saying that the new version will have the ability to assign a K2 item to multiple categories?
That would be SO fantastic. I am testing now the Additional Categories for K2 that Leftiris suggested I try in another thread and it is certainly working but it requires me a hack of some K2 code. I would LOVE this functionality without hacking any of the K2 code.
I will install the latest build and play with it tomorrow.

K2 v3 will not have multiple categories per item. What Krikor wrote is that in K2v3 a category can have more than one extra field groups.

I knew he was referring to one or the other. :-) Anyhow, I do appreciate knowing. Looks like I will have to use the Additional Categories for K2 plugin. I am testing it and it is working although I sure do wish that I did not have to hack core K2 files in order to get it to display the counts in the proper categories. :-)
I may just decide not to display any counts as long as everything else works well.
I do appreciate your telling me about this extension.

I'm hoping the developer will deal with this.
I know this a pretty big ask for Joomlaworks, but adding multi-categorization for items would be a pretty great feature.
Otherwise, being able to create different tags based on category would be a fantastic way of dealing with this.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, we have decided against this feature.
As for the delay, try enabling cache. It will really speedup your site.

Have you decided never to have some type of multiple or additional categories in K2?
I had thought it was something that was slated for a version 3.x?
I sure wish you had it. It is the only thing I keep bumping up against that makes regret K2. Otherwise I LOVE K2.

The additional categories for K2 dev might consider supporting v3.
We can put pressure on him :)
