I use K2 for blog items within a varied Joomla site. This was working fine and without issues. However, after a recent Joomla update (possibly 3.4.4), the K2 pages stopped displaying when opened. There is also problems with them displaying in category layout. No changes have been made to the template to cause these problems.

Check the sub-menus in the 'Production Blog' menu (category layout)

The only item that works is the top menu category. The homepage view is a K2 module.

Some of the article items open OK, most don't.

Hello Christian,

Try repairing your db tables (after you ;ve backed them up).
If that does not solve the issue enable error reporting in your site's global configuration to see the actual issue.

Thanks for the reply. I repaired the DB. Though, because most tables are INNODB, they won't repair. I also enabled maximum error reporting (I had done this previously), but it reported nothing.

Stupid question: Are the items published? Are they accessible in the backend?

No 3rd party K2 extensions.

If you click on the titles of the items listed on the front page module (to open the item itself), one displays, one doesn't.

Is there anything recorded in your error_log?

Only a PHP Strict Standards error relating to the jSecure plugin. Disabling the plugin stops the error, but has no effect on the problem.

Are you using any 3rd party K2 plugins?

You asked that previously, but I double checked. There was a K2 plugin for OS Map. As this isn't used any more, I completely uninstalled the component and plugins.

There are also OS Membership K2 plugins. They are all disabled.

No difference.

A membership might cause such an issue.
Eg: old ACL levels could still be assigned. Are your ACL levels for both the menus items and categories set to Public?

Got to the bottom of it. Somehow (and it wasn't changed by me) the 'inherits parameters from' category settings had reverted to 'none'. Reinstated and all OK again. :)
