Publishing without 'Featured Article' Rights was created by Mehmet Alp Sirin
Hello Everyone,

I am creating a blog site.

I want to have 2 Usergroups.

1) Since I am using K2, I want users users to write and publish their ‘items’ directly from frontend.
But I don’t want them to have the option to mark their items as ‘Featured Article’

2) Same as user group 1 but with the possibility to mark as featured article (a group for trusted, experienced users)

How can I manage this?
Is this possible with k2 / joomla settings, or do I need an extension? Or do I need to change the joomla code?

I am using JA Wall.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Best regards,

Alp

Unfortunately by default this is not possible.
The user by default can create and/ or publish items, there is no featured flag.

You can override the itemform.php file however and remove the featured check from the template.
