When i make new article and check it in site category alias not showing at url address this happened was after update k2 from 2.6.9 to 2.7 .

I have sh404sef on my site and now k2 2.7

before then i had sh404sef and k2 2.6.9 and good working any thing .

Sampel old link :

http://mydomain/mycategory/myarticle

But No url changed to

http://mydomain/myarticle


Could you please help me to fix it ?

Check the SEF configuration of both K2 and sh404sef, maybe some parameters are changed after the update.

I changed k2 from 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 now and issue is not fixed .

When i enable category id and check url showing id + category alias but if just enable category alias without id , category title not showing to url address ! i think this is a bug at k2 2.7

I created a PR in github which proposes a solution for this issue,

Can you test the patch and let me know if that works for you?

Is there a way to remove the category menu item alias from the URL?

I have a menu structure like this: SAS Training

Services (zoo category)
- Technology (zoo category)
- - Technology Service 1 (item in the technology category, not actually a menu item) SQL Training

My URLs look like:

/servicemenualias/servicecategoryalias
/technologymenualias/servicecategoryalias/technologycategoryalias
/servicesmenualias/servicescategoryalias/technologycategoryalias/technologyservice1titlealias

It would be perfect if I could remove the menu item alias completely and achieve a URL structure like: DataStage Training

/servicecategoryalias
/servicecategoryalias/technologycategoryalias
/servicescategoryalias/technologycategoryalias/technologyservice1titlealias R Programming Training

Any ideas? The parameters in the JoomSEF extension for Zoo don't seem to have an option for this.

Hello Amir,

Make sure to clear your cache and also make sure that you are not using the redirect plugin or any other SEF extension which caches URLs.

If you were using sh404sef, no changes will be visible unless you purge and regenerate the URLs.

@Albert, you need to ask the JoomSEF devs about this.
By default in K2 the menu item will be respected.
