Search for special characters fails in 2.7.1 was created by Thomas Thrane
Hi
After opgrading to 2.7.1 searching for danish characters like æ, ø and å no longer works.
These characters are stripped and therefor theres no searchresult.
Any clues on this issue?
Thanks!

Backup (in the highly unlikely event anything goes wrong)
Download it and install it from Joomla!'s extensions manager.

Hi,
I tried to solve it the same way, so I just download k2-master.zip and installed it, now I have 2.8.0 but the issue remains; still special characters get stripped in k2 administrator search field (at ../administrator/index.php?option=com_k2&view=items).
Please advise,
Paul

æ, ø å, Greek/ Cyrillic characters are treated differently.
Illegal characters are automatically being stripped for security reasons.
