English language files not loading with joomla 3.7

Backend does not load any of the language files at all.
**Not loaded** : JROOT/administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_k2.ini
**Not loaded** : JROOT/plugins/system/k2/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_k2.ini
Without this being loaded no translations strings show. So if you don't know your way around K2 it makes it very very hard to navigate.
Are there updates to the language files or is there a solution for this as of yet or is K2 not being supported anymore?

Seems there are many extensions with the same issue due to changes in 3.7.
I am currently using sites in 3.7 and I cannot reproduce this issue.
Since this occurs in other extensions as well, this means that it is not a K2 issue.
This issue has been reported to Joomla!'s repo

The site is live & depenedent on K2 so I am cautious about un-installing and re-installing K2 to fix this.
Any suggestions?

Re-installation is a different thing than uninstall.
If you are afraid something might go wrong, backup and reinstall K2.
What PHP and MySQL versions is your site using?

I restored the Joomla 3.7.2 version and re-installed K2 again at your suggestion. This time it worked perfectly. K2 is now displaying English language labels correctly under 3.7.2. I'm not sure what is going on but I have a result and can move on.
Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
