Local backup of K2 images folder was created by Klaus Veliu
Hello,

For all of my websites I am doing a incremental backup in a local PC outside of the webserver files.
My issue comes when I am trying to download the files of an website that has a lot of K2 items (ex +200.000 articles)
I have not been able to download the entire content of the media/k2/items/cache

No ftp client was able to do that(Filezilla, Cute FTP, Winscp etc).
Have anyone found the solution to this issue?!

You might try sftp
also, take a look at LimitRecursion in the *ftpd.conf file

Just to be sure do I risk something if I set the limit to 10.000.000?!
Thank you!

I cannot answer that question. Since those files are designed to hold constants, you probably wont hurt anything, and you can probably change it back, although it could crash or hang if the rest of the system doesnt like what you changed it to,.....that is a pretty large number! I would read up on how all that works first or ask the question in the operating system forum.

You can use Akeeba Backup and download the site in zip format.
FTPing entire sites is not really practical.

I can't download my +100Gb site every time a backup is made.
Instead I only download the files that are uploaded or modified since the last backup.
Also I "hate the Akeeba thing" for many reasons, the first is that it mess up the order of the configuration.php parameters when a site is transfer.

There are several ways to achieve this.
You can have your host backup daily and replace older backups or you can create a custom shell script which offers this functionality.

Thank you Krikor for being so helpful always in every topic that I have posted in the forum :)
I my case the real solution was to modify the ftpd.conf parameters.
