Hi,
In a article you can enlarge the picture by clicking on it (Widgetkit Lightbox ?). Is it possible to remove this option for one certain category?

PS! I'm new to both K2 and Joomla :-)

If you learn to do a k2 override you can most likely change the code just below <!-- Item Image --> in item.php to act like you want it to

Yes, you would need a new template for this category only.
