Hey,

i am having this problem with the k2 search and tag results.

If i turn SEF on the results will always show on the current page but if i turn SEF off the results will show in a new page (Hidden menu link i created).

How can i make it work with SEF on?

Is there a link you can share?
By default the results are rendered through the current menu item if there is a) direct link to that user/ tag/ search results or b) there is a hidden K2 categories menu item which points towards all menu item.
If that is the case then the results will be shown through one of these menu items.

It all works exactly how you describe.

I have the hidden menu items and the search results and tag results show in the correct place.

BUT........ if i turn SEF option (Search Engine Friendly) on it starts to show both results in the current page.

I have SEF option disabled for the moment because i have other projects to finish but i will come back to this later and i would like to turn SEF on if possible.

Do you mean K2's Advanced SEF or Joomla!'s SEF?
If you mean the former, then this is pretty much and either/ or scenario.
You can have the hidden menu item or, you can have the Advanced SEF for these views.

I mean the Joomla!´s SEF.

Can you send some example URLs?
Both with SEF and without SEF.

Joomla! SEF OFF: /jportal/index.php?searchword=teste&categories=&option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=search&lang=pt

Have you set a menu item in the module's settings?
The setting is called "Select menu item (to assign an ItemID) for the results page"

Well i have seen now that it only opens inside the current view when you are at the HOME item.

If i search from other item view it opens where i want.


This template uses a listing of K2 items in the HOME menu, so the problem probably has to do with it.

Well my friend i found a work around.

I created a menu item with exactly the same option as the HOME (Category List) and set the modules to open on that new item.

It seems to work like it should now!
