Is there a way to hide Categories where the user is NOT assigned?
For example... I have 2 categories, namely: Category A and Category B. I assigned Category A to User A (as an admin). So, when User A logged in I want to hide Category B and just show Category A which is assigned to him. Is this possible?
Thanks

You can change the menu's and category's access level, but it won't work for Super Users.

For the rest of the users, you can setup new Joomla! user groups and restrict access to the categories you want.

I set up two user group in K2 and called "Group 1" and "Group 2". I assigned Category A to Group 1 and Category B to Group 2. Next I create a new user called "User 1" and assigned to K2 user group "Group 1". But when I logged in as User 1 and when I try to post a new item I can still see Category B.
What I would like to have is when I logged as User 1, I should be able to see only Category A (and can post only to this category)

By the way, I want to control K2 categories (based on K2 user group), not menu items.

That would require a custom extension. If you have the budget that is what I would recommend.

Will you be able to help if I want the custom extension? If so, can I PM you?
