I have just reverted and updated an old joomla website with k2 and elfinder on it.

the site is completely uptodate. joomla 3.8.5, K2 2.8.0 is installed. i run a malware scanner and several files in administrator/components/com_k2/lib/elfinder/ were flagged. They are very long files.

I wanted to cross reference them against the original files so i download and unpacked K2 2.8.0 independently and the directory does exist.

From alittle research i can see that elfinder was packaged with k2 but had some security issues.

why do i still have it in my directory? is it an addon? how can i cross reference the code against an original?

Hello elFinder is indeed K2's media manager.
If that folder is not present here -> github.com/getk2/k2 then back it up and remove it.
elFinder's version does not contain any known issues (this is why it was updated). If there are new reported issues, please let us know so we can change the version.

I insert an image into the extra field in the media manager of ElFinder, but I get the wrong path:

images\site\params\wave.png

need:
images/site/params/wave.png

At first everything worked correctly.

What could be the problem?
