Hi

There are 2 issues here
1.Today suddenly found the cache folder from media/k2/items got deleted and all images from k2 articels got missing.
2.When trying to open and re-upload images there was another issue, the message says the image is saved but the image is not seen in the article.

Did someone faced a similar issue? I verified with php configuration and GD libraray is enabled too.
My k2 version is 2.7.1 and php is 7.0

Is the folder present?
Does the folder contain an index.html file if it is empty?

The folder was there but empty in that location and the new articles are creating now.. but all the existing images on articles are lost. anyway to retrieve them?

Unfortunately you need to either restore a backup or if this isn't an option you can look at github.com/rdeutz/rebuildK2imageCache

I cannot guarantee the success of the later.

Did you know why cache folder was deleted??
Same problem in 20 Joomla websites!!!
