RSS generation issue with href tel was created by Matthew Walsh
Good day community,

First time actually asking instead of just reading questions here so I hope its in the right place :)

I'm having a bit of a challenge with RSS feed generation in K2 where I have href="tel:" links in an article body but when the menu of that category is generated as RSS using ?format=feed the "tel:" part has the domain appended to the beginning. For mailto href this works perfected but not tel.

Is there an option somewhere in K2 I can tell it not to do this for tel or should I be creating the link in a different way?
When displaying the article via web the tel link works perfectly.

Thanks!

Good evening,

With pleasure. Here is the link to the test category

www.finditinkimberley.co.za/guide/restaurants
If you open the first test article it has a phone number it the body of the article that shows the right source (href="tel:...")

www.finditinkimberley.co.za/guide/restaurants?format=feed
This is the feed link and if you view the raw output you see it has changed the URL to include https and the domain name before tel:...

If I rest using a mailto ref it works perfectly.

We are trying to push this info into a mobile app using RSS so its making the phones open a web browser as it sees https instead of the phone dialer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
