I know we suck at marketing, but we're good at coding.
The GitHub repo of K2 should indicate our activity better :)
As for Joomla 4, yes, K2 will support it. Perhaps not the first day it's released (WHEN it's released) but it will support it. K2 is under heavy rewrite at the moment in a private repo to make sure our code is less Joomla-dependant in the future. This will also pave the way for K2 to support WordPress at some point in 2019.
