As I am having issues when making backups of sites that have many thousands of articles, in my next site I need to take into consideration the path of the images.

Currently K2 uses this logic media/k2/items/cache/'.md5("Image".$item->id).'_L.jpg, but I need to Override this logic, maybe I would be able to alter the K2 core files, but they would be overwritten if I update K2 in the future. So this seems not to be a good solution.

Is any way/plugin that gives the ability to store the image in this logic /images/year/month/day/.... ?
